Celebrating 10 Years at The State Fair of Texas!

That’s right! Starting today, we return to the State Fair of Texas for our 10th year!!!
We can’t believe it’s actually been that long! Sometimes it feels like yesterday when we first started playing the Lagoon stage as that little old Celtic band from Texas.
Just two years later, we moved to a central stage at the fair entertaining folks at the food court, catching the ears and eyes of passers by on the way to the midway, or just sitting down to have a corn dog. Many of those people stopped to listen, and became some of the biggest and best fans we have today!
This, our 10th year at the State Fair of Texas, marks a very special time for the band. We’re touring nationally, have thousands of loyal and amazing friends and fans…and we owe a lot of this to the State Fair of Texas. Putting us in front of hundreds of thousands of people every day, for an entire month, year after year, is one of the main reasons we continue to grow the way we have for so long!
So, we want to give our special thanks to the President of the State Fair of Texas, Errol McKoy, and the entire State Fair staff!
We can’t wait to share another amazing year with everyone at the great State Fair of Texas!!!

…to our first entry on the new ‘Dare Diary. This is something we’ve been wanting to add for awhile now, so what better time than the next 24 days at the State Fair of Texas to launch it. This is our 10th year to perform at the largest fair in the country, so we’ll do our best to post something every day to share this major milestone with all of you. Check back each day, as I’m sure we’ll have plenty to talk about. Day 1 begins today. Only 120 shows to go and I’m already jones’n for a corny dog.

Sorry folks…but we just received word from venue management that the Central Market show tonight has been cancelled due to rain. Have a great weekend, and we’ll see you next Friday at the Plano Balloon Festival.
